Patrick Bet-David sits down with Donald Miller to talk about the archetypes of storytelling, marketing and how all these elements influence our lives and perspective. • Million Dollar Potential in Ruvol I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that is guaranteed to be far more challenging and exciting than CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.” Over time, Ruvol will surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.” Why am I so sure about this? Because I am an avid chess player myself. The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play. HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED? Ruvol is played somewhat like chess. It is played by two players. It uses a board that is rectangular in shape but contains more number of squares than chess. It has equal number of pieces on each side of the board, where each type of pieces moves in distinct ways. However, if the way to win chess is to checkmate the opponent’s king, the way to win Ruvol is to be able to cross a designated line. But there’s one big advantage Ruvol has over chess: The Ruvol pieces don’t have a fixed position at the start of the game. It is the players themselves who dictate the starting position, depending on the strategies they have planned before the game starts, making it impossible for any clever player to memorize the opening moves. A MILLION DOLLAR POTENTIAL IN RUVOL! The people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. These 800 million players comprise the “Total Potential Buyers” of Ruvol across the globe. At an average profit of just US$3 per set, the “Global Income Potential” of Ruvol then is US$2.4 billion. Assuming only 1% of it will buy each year, the annual global potential sale of Ruvol is US$24M. I AM LOOKING FOR AN INVESTOR! For the reason that I don’t have the resources to publish Ruvol on a global scale, you might be interested to have the exclusive right to manufacture and market Ruvol globally under a “licensing agreement.” Or better yet, just “BUY MY COPYRIGHT” and Ruvol is entirely yours. Email me at: Thanks and God bless! RODOLFO MARTIN VITANGCOL The Ruvol Inventor

  • There must be something wrong with me. What you teach here, I simply cannot comprehend!!! Why do I need to learn about YOUR STORY *before* I can make an ***intelligent decision*** whether I need your product and if I should buy it or not??? My intellect, my IQ focuses on the legitimacy of what your product can do for me, being it a Health & Fitness product or a tremendously delicious vacuum packed Burger, MY IQ is focused on THE PRODUCT. Perhaps I am weird, but why in the world do I need to LOVE YOUR STORY BEFORE I DECIDE TO BUY YOUR PRODUCT. I just CANNOT for the life in me understand that. I in fact, I HATE story telling, I fast forward through that, I want to GET TO THE END RESULT, please DO NOT take me through 21 minutes of YOUR STORY and waste MY TIME, just take me to the darn product and I ME MYSELF & NO ONE ELSE UNDER HEAVEN CAN INFLUENCE ME OR TELL ME THAT I NEED IT ... I WILL MAKE MY OWN DECISION. It is really and seriously mind boggling and disturbing to me when I go to websites and I see the section ABOUT US, WHO WE ARE, OUR MISSION ... OMG, I don't care WHO YOU ARE. Show me that YOUR PRODUCT will fix my falling hair and I will buy it. I do NOT need to know you invented the product because your mother had thinning hair and she was getting bold and your dad divorced her and made your life and her life a living hell and THAT IS WHY you invented this marvelous shampoo. Whilst I will HATE your dad for doing this to your poor mom and you and believe me I want to KICK his butt so bad and pull all of his hair out and burn his scalp so he'll never grow hair, but THAT STORY means NOTHING ELSE to me, besides getting me angry at your dad. So bottom line, WHY IN THE WORLD DO PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR A STORY BEFORE THEY CAN BUY??? People SHOULD make intelligent decisions based on the merits of the product and NOT on the background NOISE. I came across a title (Change Your Brain: Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman) and so I thought I'd check it out, the FREAKING guy went on and on telling a story and I kept fast forwarding to get to the END RESULT, I finally exited the video 15 minutes in as he kept telling his story, I just got bored and shut it off. Here's the link for you to prove it. I REALLY REALLY want to change my brain for the better, but he just put me off by going on and on about his childhood story. Just GET TO THE POINT MAAAAANNN.

  • Good interview, but I think it's pretty disgusting that anytime there's a negative stereotype in the video. The face of a Black Person is shown, these subconscious stereotypes that are fed to the public are very disgusting, especially because they are not true. For example, When you talked about somebody not being good. Why did it have to be the face of a Black Man (but with the good stereotypes it was the faces of white folks)? Ebony Folks are phenomenal professionals because they have to do twice, thrice as much to get the necessary recognition. This is a clear observation and not victim speak. See you at the top Buddy, we will meet at an event and I will tell you how messed up things like that were to your face. It's cool to interview the Kobe's and the Kevin Harts of the World, funny thing about success. It's cool though, it's your channel and your videos but don't be surprised if that cost you and your company serious money in the future with people not wanting to do business with you. Just remember that the only reason you were able to migrate to America and be an Entrepreneur is because of the sacrifices of Ebony America, Dr. Martin Luther King CC you on the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

  • D. Miller's storytelling narratives are absolutely brilliant and valid on multiple points. Society really needs to hear all of this. Its a great message for individuals, cultures, and businesses. He's got a very promising future and I love his take that all Presidents should be Independents. One VERY SERIOUS criticism though. He insists as an Entrepreneur that his potential employees be absolute rock stars and deliver 10-to-1 on his investment. This is insanely greedy and any business owner who takes this view gives Capitalists a VERY bad name. That's a 1000% ROI. Heck the Mafia only charges 150-200%! No company or any individual can hope to achieve this reasonably. Its a BS tag line which will create severe animosity and mental breakdowns. Imagine I go to my investment advisor. I DEMAND 1000% ROI immediately on my investment! My bank. I DEMAND 1000% interest on my deposits! Local Sandwich shop. I DEMAND the sandwich tastes so great that it's worth 10 times what I paid for it, or I get my money back! A guy asks your daughter on a date. He DEMANDS 1000% ROI immediately! An Investment -- whether it be in a new product, a person, a partnership, can be a challenge to create (or discover) real value. That's a completely unreasonable ROI expectation. If you can deliver 10-to-1 on his investment, what do you need to work for him for?

If I help secure a new customer that brings in $10,000 year over year for the foreseeable future is that worth $10,000 or 20 or a hundred? If I come in and successfully mediate an internal dispute or a dispute between employees or with a union how is that value calculated?
