The 200 mph Caddy is on the Ground! Finnegan's garage Ep.121

In this installment of the twin-turbo, 8 second Cadillac build, we unbox a new set of Weld Racing Alpha Pro double beadloc wheels for the back end of the car and a pair of V-Series front wheels, too. You'll also get a look at the MRC Fabrication mandrel-bent chassis, which will be the backbone of this high-speed project. Yes, we cut up a perfectly good, rust-free 1961 Cadillac Coupe DeVille but it will be well worth it when we cruise the street with our friends in this beast, then blast down the quarter mile, and finally go 200 mph in a car that was never intended to be anything more than a luxury liner.
Want more information on the wheels we used?
Here are the rear tires we are running:
and here are the front tires:
Support this channel by purchasing our merchandise. Every dollar goes directly into the project cars so we can keep on racing, doing burnouts and filming the shenanigans for you all.

  • Why didn't you run a Cadillac 500 with all the stuff you talked about in the Chevy? I'm sure you could have stroked it to the same or more than the Chevy. It looks bad, there is no doubt in that. It would just have been nice to see it kept the same make. Ronnie.

  • All the room in the front is for a Supercharger or twin turbo set up with after cooler and air to air intake to keep the air intake will run cool through the air conditioner to keep it really cold air for twin blower in to the blower maybe? Maybe go with experimental set up for higher head pressure for a full twin fuel rail with nitrous and Holley dominator programer. Going to look mean when your done with it. I had a Chevy Impala about 1960 I think this is a picture of it: Nice car wish I still had it today; - Image ID: GF7D4W Mine was red with the white top as well, looked just like this one. Might be a better site for the car pictures.

  • I've always had this question. When you build cars, meaning you, Freiburger, Dulsich, whoever. Why do you choose to put a 3 speed transmission in the car, then spend more money on a GearVendors? Why not just choose a 4 speed 700R4 or 4L85E or whatever? Is it because you can beef up the 3 Speeds alot more than the 4 Speeds? Or are there fitment issues with the 4 vs the 3 speed?

  • Though it's " Rather backwoods" I had a 68 granprix, lowered,w.skirts, and tall slicks,I actually used 3/4 steel tubing as a wheel opening trim, welded most of the way around the opening, I could remove the wheels without disconnecting the shocks,I would remove the valvecores, and pry the top of the tire mostly to the rim, bracing the pry bar against the opening (3/4 tubing),reinstall the cores and sneakem' out. Backwoods,I know, but I'm from the backwoods! Love this build!
