  • Hello there! Loved the video!👍 We have a mx110 1999 with 9995hrs great tractor A few things broke like pto 540/1000 gear pins and a set of pwsf clutches great horses Lately we have been having different issues, engines, more likely fuel related its seems to miss on one cylinder We check fuel line, filters, return, it rev fine it just seems to buck or no kept steady rev when throttle up or done When we charge the engine, powerup its starts to shake(dance side to side) bring it back to idle and it stops and run ok , not perfect .... Any suggestions on what it could be ? Fuel pump!, injector!, valves! Thanks in advance if you answer

  • At the case dealership that I work at, we had a farmer on a 5000 series maxxum kept braking the pin in the shift collar. Happened 3 times in 6 months. Finally we had him shift the pto while we watched, first thing he grabs is a hammer to tap the shaft..... ended up billing him for all the “rework”

  • Would a loud clunking noise when tractor is in neutral position on the gear stick and the forward reverse shuttle is in forward or reverse basically when the clutch is let out be anything to be concerned about on an mx110 with 6500 hours on it

  • Own 3 of these. Absolutely love them. Great loader tractors. Much better than modern CNH hunks if junk. The case loader that comes with these is the best built loader I've seen on a tractor this size. Have been very reliable. 1 of them has over 14k hours and runs as good as it did when we got it. Couple issues that weren't covered. All three tractors have had issues with wiring on the PTO sensor. Blows fuse and tractor won't go. Thanks to Deboss garage for a video for that fix! If alternator isn't charging fully PTO sometimes won't stay on. Has to do with the sensor getting enough power. I've swapped all of them to the higher amp alternator and that fixes it. A stupid design is the loader lever. Plastic top comes off over time and good luck sticking the thing back on! The aspirator has these small little holes that fill up with dirt. Compressed air doesn't get it out very well. Have to use a hunk of thin wire or something to push it out because they spiral around and you can't get anything thicker in there. Not a fun job. Last but not least the biggest problem with an mx110 is that they only made them for 4 years! Unless you want a McCormick mtx... Love these AG related videos keep em coming!

  • In this video you showed two major issues I experienced with my MX120. I’ve spent some nights and it cost me a lot to find out bad powershift solenoid and the main positive plug. The bad thing about second hand MX’s is that you never know if you reach 10k, 20k or 30k of hours at the odometer. Thanks for great vids and all the best from Poland!

    • Yeah, check those two solenoids, if they are the square type, just replace them both -- you can test for magnetism on the end of the solenoid to see if it is working -- the shift switch works two relays that operate the solenoids -- two solenoids give the four shifts, so different combinations of the solenoids -- dont need to rune the engine, only key on

  • I definitely like these videos. I am a farmer and really like how you both describe things. Very easy to follow. I would love see see some on Allis chalmers 7000 and 8000 series. I also have a Agco dt220a with suspension cab and having issues with the compressor. Dealer wants a lot of money to change it because everything is under the cab. Would love to see a lower cost solution

    • Could possibly be the main hydraulic pump. They would sometimes have “plate lift off” issues. The way to check is to take the plug out of the side of the pump case. Run the tractor. Should only be a trickle of oil coming out. If it goes full stream when you lose your power you need a new pump

      Jen DJen D6 oy oldin

  • They should just make them simple, who needs a power shift. Etc. Just a good engine with a turbo & manual H pattern gearbox. They should keep it simple but at the same time use a turbo. Tractors should be simple equipment that is not much more challenging than a normal car.

  • We’ve a MX110 at home in Ireland with a Quickie loader on it. Possibly the best tractor that ever came about the place. 12,000 hours on it a not a spanner put to it other then when it’s been serviced. Perfect tractor for loader work. A great all rounder. Handles a Kverneland 4 furrow reversible with ease like no other 110hp tractor. Never lays down and all the bad manners and abuse it gets off us at home. Walks around other tractors power wise (especially new ones!) Don’t make em like they used to!!!!

  • Gosh. Growing up on the farm in Wisconsin we didn't have anything so fancy. PTO engagement was still a manual hand clutch. I remember breaking shear bolts on the Corn Hog hammer mill disengaging the PTO. The 4020 PTO brake was very touchy. EGR? What's that? We did have 540/1000 switchable PT0.

I must say it's pretty tough mashine :D Hadle with care it keeps going many hours, but as always in these mtx series broke pto rpm sensor and the same say other operators. BTW with perkins engine this tractor sounds like it would has some 300 hp and you hear it from even 2-3 km (1.6-2 miles). Don't know which version sounds better but sound is like should :D

Are they a future threat to your job ? would you still be able to do certain things but not others ? What do you think about the "right to repair" movement ? Just wanted to know what were your thoughts about all this. Loved the video by the way, even if I have almost no chance to ever put it to use, I just enjoy learning !

The engine only warms up partly if I work it hard in summer when I stop it cools of right away and the rad is alway warm. I got a new thermostat and housing from case, did not help. There is noting tied in that bypasses the thermostat.
