I can see the hypocrisy here, obviously. The backlash is overblown though. Nothing James did here is really inherintly wrong, it's just about holding him to his own standard, hence this rather weird hypocrisy. If the hypocrisy didn't exist, I doubt people would care nearly as much about the game being flooded with ads. I think this video was a cheap try at being self aware that evidently fell flat. But it's going to take a bigger picture to make me write off James as being reprehensable. If I'm missing something, feel free to reply to me.
