Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
You should redo all the lights and sirens on it give it a good clean up and make it look super modern again even tho its a classic and make like your own little shed fire station at the ranch!
Old equipment like that is actually easy to operate the pump should be activated by a switch inside the cab unless it’s a wild land engine which has a engine to run the pump but judging on that the Cummins should run the pump I suggest going to a lake first and filling your tank will water by using a hose then see if it will pump the water out through a outlet if so your running but you need to fill the tank first
All of that is easy I'm a volunteer
can u tell ur friend i say thank u for his service
Happy late Thanksgiving to you & your family/friends.
The part that goes all the way to the other side could be for like resting for road trips do to hang out in
It's not a real firetruck until it has a Federal Signal Q Siren. also the air horns need to be replaced with Grover Stuttertone Emergency Horn model 1510 or 1512.
Its a Fire Engine! Not a Fire Truck. Thier us a difference...
Compound turbo
Glad to see you bought one of these old rigs. Even for practical use it's great seeing these old rigs preserved, I love my retired fire engine.
It’s actually very easy to work a pump lol if y’all still need help just say so
Man im new i say a idaho plate you from here?
in a fire fiter
Dose the sirens work
EVERY BOYS DREAM OWN A FIRE TRUCK
I bought this fire truck K20 original 4wd 17560 original miles! I raptor painted it back the original color! 37.5/16.5 military tires stock lift
I’m a firefighter
Can you link the website you got this from
I drive a fire engine for a living. I can come show you how to use it!
Are you getting this for the ranch incase of a fire/wildfire?
You should try and get a retired Brush Truck. It would be perfect for a property.
You need to tern you emergency lights on when. Lol
You should of got a brush truck
Imagine sitting in the back going to a call in a storm or snowstorm
This fire truck hits close to home I use to live in hurricane UT and I knew the owner of that truck I’ve been in the that exact truck
Nice shit
I'm A little jealous FMC firetrucks are getting pretty rare
Hey just a heads up my department is gonna sell a 1979 chevy grass truck in russell ks it's a decent truck a nice motor swap would be good
It’s called a pump pannel
Remember, you can’t hook up to a hydrant as a civilian. You need to draft.
Get driver operator training and take a us forestry service class for wildland fire fighting class. Also pump testing and the proper hose will make sure you can keep your property safe
Put your truck in neutral put in pump mode put in park go to your pump pul your enductor pull the selected cross lay your using and throttle your truck up don’t go over 200 psi you’ll blow yourself off the hose
You really should look about getting your fire card. Would've been more practical to get a brush truck instead.
little red bags, if im correct, are for there SCBA masks, just kinda stuff the mask into there.
I think those tank thingies behind the seats are for supporting your back when you are on a run in your turnouts and SCBA. If not for storing your tanks in the emergency position.
In the back that’s where all the hose line go, that peice in the middle is to separate the different hose lines
That’s the pump panel, that was behind the cab
I’m 3 weeks late but I’m over here wanting watch another #DMAXRYNO upload. All I gotta do is type in the search Work For It. #WorkForIt
Why
Could always hire me as a private firefighter, I will work for food
I know how to run it but it's to much to type .lol
what year was that firetruck made
Comes out of Hurricane. Good buy, climate treats vehicles good in those parts. No moisture in the air what so ever lol.
It's fairly easy There normally is a tank to pump and a tank fill I know how to run the pumps at the dept im with
My town bought a new 2019 Eone pumper last year. It was $500,000. They are expensive.
I can teach you how to run it
Fire Engine. That's what the firefighters told me.
you can tell when someone does'nt know how to drive an air brake vehicle
Be happy to help teach you how to run the pump
I’m a volunteer fire fighter and I know a know how to use it, it takes a bit of time to get the hang of it though
Although we have a 2015😂 I should be able to figure it out
that fire truck was made locally, Mom used to work at Pemfab
I love open cabs there way better then closed cabs
The Q is probbly in the passenger seat
hey man im a firefighter so if you need some help with pumping and everything let me know!
Glad you guys like the truck! Lots of good memories with it! Enjoy! Work for it!
THE SERVICE TRUCK FOR THE CHANNEL AND THE GROUP
when im older i wanna buy an old firetruck, because firetrucks are best trucks
I am in upstate New York I am about 10 minutes away from the Pennsylvania border and I know a lot of things about the old fire trucks let me know if you wanna know more
If you need Pump help. Let me know
Only in a America!
ik how to run a fire pump and im 10
You actually bought a fire ENGINE not a fire TRUCK. A fire truck carries ladders. And engine carries hoses water and a pump.
Hmu for a video lesson on pump ops had allot of experience on these old trucks
make sure the truck is in Park and parking brake is set before tryna put the truck in Pump mode, do the same Steps when taken it out of pump mode also, disconnect all line power down pump panel, set the transmisson from Drive back to park then switch the Pump switch bk to Drive or truck mode mode,
should be a switch next to the sterring wheel inside the cab that says switch to Pump. U Hit that to switch the pump on then u put the truck into D which is drive , make sure your Parking brake is set, then u go outside to the pump panel , Pull ur Circulate water and fill Tank Valve, then Hit ur Throttle Lever or button, new trucks have the button , Open the valve u want to get the water to then , charge your line then adjust your pressure as needed Mind u that this truck may be 700GPMs so u a need a constant water supply, like a hydrogent or Dump tank close by to refill or suction off that. hope this helps
Angry cops?
It's to bad it has a Cummins in it, a screaming Detroit would have been traditional.
@TFSFireman Your right about the noise but who doesn't love the sound of a wound out screaming Jimmy, sirens and appuratus horns blaring away, talk about adrenaline rush. The loudest I've driven was a 1978 Hahn pumper with a 238 Detroit and a 5spd Spicer transmission, that was a very loud truck. The quietest had to be the 1988 ALF pumper and a 1994 E-ONE pumper which both had the 8V71T 350 Detroit's with 6spd Allison's in them. We had a older Ward Lafrance with a 290NTC Cummins and a couple Van Pelts with Cummins and I can not begin to tell you how many times these trucks left on a big hook.
Detroit Diesels are way too loud
I have never understood why people don't do like what you did and have a firetruck for when a bad fire happens. Great to be prepared. Plate [C]
next he should buy an oshkosh m1070
Slap a federal signal q2b on it
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww
*Angry cops didn't like that*
i can pump the truck ive been a firefighter for 3 years now 1 year of driving
DONT FORGET THE HOSERIE 400 feet of hose big and smol
Nice, Put a Federal Q on it!
I own a 1971 Seagraves got the 8-71 Detroit. Allways have battery's switch to BOTH. Allways push both Black START buttons at same time when starting. You want to use both battery banks to start You said it had 2 starters it does not just one, you have 2 heavy duty battery banks should be on each side of engine under step for jump seats. Just unscrew cab dash panel and fallow wire for siren control to see if it is wired in, you can allso check control box on a battery just to see if it works, you should be able to hear tones ( low) coming out of control head, just to see if it still works. Don't let PUMP overwhelm you. Those MANUALS will walk you through pump start SOP. The main thing is getting the pump in gear. Just remember NUTRAL E. BRAKE SET PUMP IN GAGE( switch to pump) CHECK BRAKE SET PUT ENGINE IN DRIVE Reverse order for taking out of PUMP I would be happy to do you U Tube video of my Engine walking you through different stuff you would like to understand. Remember those MANUALS are a step by step on all parts of operation of that Engine. She is a Beautiful RIG. Great idea for your Property Fire PROTECTION.
Not sure how you insured, licensed it. Do be careful operating ANY of the Emergency equipment on public roads. Basically unless in a parade. Keep it all off on public roads. (Not knowing you’re state laws). I might suggest a sign. “IN TRANSIT” Or “NOT IN SERVICE”. Contact local FD. They might be willing to give you time some “trash” is going to be dumped for a “donation”. Hose, maybe odds ends..
Imagine Buying A Firetruck
call a heavy wrecker company they could of picked it up off the trailer and set it on the ground
Yes, and charge a pretty penny to do it
Awesome I am a volunteer firefighter for greenwood fire and rescue in Crawford county PA
I can tell you how to work the pumps and fix the Siren
Hello; I'm a retired vol firefighter from Massauchsets. Check with your Local fire dept and see if you can set up some training time. local dept in a way is better. But set up a meeting time and meet with the dept members. Explain your purpose and some training on your truck. Have your group set down and discuss what you want to do,know and remember let them be the boss. Start going to flea markets fore equipment and some times fire companies may help also. Best of Luck. Rod 45 yrs in the vol fire dept
Need to tell Sergio that the siren speakers were in the top light bars back in the day. And yes, my dept had an identical FMC pumper. The speaker is in the light bar.
You need to get your power steering checked out
They are governed so it will only go to fast.
Dang I was on that fire, we were on your ranch at some point. I recognize your water tank
Bring it to virginia and ill teach you my dad is a firefighter and i want to be one but i can work the engine there and water dials and tanks
the siren wires directly to the battery or the electrical system, make sure the toggle switch is to the "on" position, and the wiring to it is all connected and the volume is all the way up. Haha, i would be way to trigger happy with the horn.
Still need some help pumping that bad boy?
that couldnt have been cheap... dude lmao how much did that cost! I gotta start savin
They go cheap. It’s delivery that costs.
I feel a revamp coming in the next few days for this thing with new lights and paint job with a big boy winch
Matt's off-road recovery is in Hurricane Utah. They work with a fab shop that could set this up as a brush truck in no time
I am a fireman and I know how
i'm a firefighter and its pretty self explanatory but if you need any help I'd be glad to explain it all to you.
Its actually allot easier then it looks. Ot doesn't get to difficult unless your trying to draft witch isn't bad either
If I don't look while you are speaking of swear it was Travis Pastrana
Forget hooking-up the electronic siren. It isn't a firetruck without a classic Federal Signal "Q-Siren"!!
I'm glad you pronounced hurricane correctly.
2:20 boy. you need better suspension. holy squat
Firetruck is okay, but you need a brush truck.
Pierce fire trucks are the best
I know how to run that pump
Did you find someone to run it? Email if you need it josh@rockfordtransfer.com I learned on that.
You only need to use one starter at a time. It’s designed to be a backup.
