He may not be a conservative, but he’s got the right perspective when it comes to developing personal responsibility in the home and not waiting around for the government to fix other people’s hatred. He also doesn’t shy away from pointing out the freedoms that we have in the United States compared to other places in the world. Finally, he says, “Put God first.”

Denzel Washington is my favourite actor of all time. I have seen 20 of his movies, the most of any actor. I hope to see more! I strongly recommend the following if his movie: Cry Freedom, Glory, Mississippi Masala, Malcolm X, The Hurricane, Flight and Fences.
I'm from UK have always liked Denzel as an actor very much but never really watched him outside of films etc . I think this man should be given a platform world wide once a week , sees it for what it is and how motivational that speech was. It's also been I would I would imagine a happy marriage, because the marriage is for 37 years and still going. Denzel’s viewpoint on having fathers in the home is incredibly naive and simplistic. This white supremacist country of ours strives exactly to take black fathers out of the black home. It is actually how the country sought to break slaves starting with the voyage from Africa up to and past Jim Crow. One really needs to study African American History and the African American Diaspora. A good suggested reading is Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome by Joy Degruy, she even has UZworld videos. I agree with a great deal of Denzel statements but it is still lacking in understanding.
