Sushi is commonly one of the most amazing yet expensive items on a menu. BUT if you make it at home using these instructions, I think you can shave it down to around 1 dollar per serving. Sounds like a win to me.

  • Love your work, brother!! But your math is off. If your total price was right, you were dividing by 11, not 8, to get your unit prices. Still a wonderful price, but just a little off. I love when you throw in what is essentially a bonus, like the pickled sushi carrots. Awesome stuff!!

The peeler I have and use for that is very similar to this. One side is a regular veggie peeler. The other side is a juilenne slicer Deiss PRO Dual Julienne Peeler & Vegetable Peeler - Non-slip Comfortable Handle - Amazing Tool for Making Delicious Salads and Veggie Noodles www.amazon.com/dp/B00LKRZ9Y4/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_fabc_Dk2cGb33DJ1N4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

  • Please just go to an Asian food store and get shiso leaves (or grow them it's dead easy) instead of combining mint, cilantro, and basil into some kind of franken-shiso

    Kim CarusoneKim Carusone5 kun oldin
  • I love you Josh, but you’re kind of lying when you keep saying they’re $1-$2, because you’re still paying $14-$24 in the long run for each full roll. I just don’t see how you keep pushing how cheap it is when it still is essentially the same exact price as if you just order from a local sushi place. You don’t just make one individual roll at a time with sushi, you make the whole dang log. It’s a little misleading. Like I said no hate, I still love your channel.

  • Yeah, well "sushi grade" means nothing, and further, is a thing that apparently only exists in certain parts of the country? Not at Harris teeter. Not at walmart. Not at bilo. Not at publix. Where the fuck are you getting "sushi grade" anything? Yeah, I'm salty. I wanna make my own sushi but my only option is risking death or intestinal death at least.
